Multi-material packaging
At Tri-Wall Austria, we rely on multi-material packaging that combines the strengths of different materials to offer you the best possible packaging solution. By combining materials such as corrugated cardboard, wood, plastic and metal, we create packaging that guarantees optimum protection, high stability and customized functionality.
While corrugated cardboard impresses with its lightness and excellent shock absorption, wood is mainly used for heavy or bulky goods due to its high load-bearing capacity. Metal components are used when additional stability is required, while plastics offer reliable protection against moisture and other external influences. Various foams are also used as cushioning material to optimally absorb shocks and vibrations.
Use of wooden components
With wood as a component of our multi-material packaging, we offer a well thought-out and robust solution that gives your products the protection they need, even under the most demanding conditions. Whether as a pallet base or reinforcement - the use of wood significantly increases stability. As a renewable raw material, wood is also an environmentally friendly choice.
Use of different foam qualities
In order to design packaging for a wide range of requirements and product types, we use a wide selection of foam qualities. For sensitive goods that must not suffer scratches or marks, we use soft, fine-pored foams. For the transportation of heavy or sharp-edged objects, on the other hand, we use dense, robust foams that are more resistant. By specifically selecting and adapting the foam quality, we ensure that every product - whether fragile or heavy - is optimally packaged and receives the best protection.
Metal constructions for additional stability
In our multi-material packaging, metal components act as a reinforcing element to provide extra stability for demanding applications. Metal supports secure heavy and bulky products within the packaging and prevent the products from shifting or being damaged during transportation.
Creating added value with multi-material packaging
Our multi-material packaging offers increased product protection through the targeted combination of materials that each contribute their specific strengths. This ensures optimum protection, be it through shock absorption, stability or moisture protection. At the same time, the intelligent selection of materials enables cost optimization, as we only use what is required for the specific need. Flexibility in packaging design allows us to serve different industries efficiently and offer customized solutions that are both cost-effective and high-performance.
